At Cutmax ("we", "our"), we take your privacy very seriously. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we obtain it, how we use it, and with which third parties we share it when you use our mobile application.
By using Cutmax, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect and How We Use It
To provide you with our personalized services, we collect the following data:
1.1. Facial and Hair Images (Personal/Biometric Data)
- What we collect: We collect images of your face (front and profile) and/or your scalp (crown, front) that you voluntarily upload or capture through the app's camera.
- How we collect it: Through the camera interface in our app or by manual selection from your device gallery, always with your prior permission.
- Data use: These images are used solely and exclusively to perform face shape analysis (visagism) and/or hair health analysis (baldness probability) using Artificial Intelligence.
- Storage: We do not store your photos on our servers. Images are processed in real time and deleted once the result is generated.
1.2. Account Data
If you choose to register (via Google or Apple Sign-In), we collect basic information such as your name and email address to manage your identity and subscription.
1.3. Usage and Device Data
We may collect technical information about your device (model, operating system version) and anonymous usage statistics to improve app stability.
2. Sharing Data with Third-Party AI
To provide haircut and alopecia analysis results, Cutmax uses third-party Artificial Intelligence services. We never share your images without your explicit permission.
2.1. Google Gemini API
- Who receives the data: We share your facial and hair images with the Google Gemini API (provided by Google LLC).
- What data is sent: Only the photographs you have selected or taken on the scan screen. No names, emails, or account identifiers are sent to the AI.
- Prior consent: The app will request your explicit permission via an on-screen notice before transmitting any image to this third-party service.
- Data protection: Google Gemini processes these images ephemerally to generate recommendations and does not use them to train its public models. We confirm that this third-party AI provider offers a level of privacy protection equal to or greater than that established in this policy and required by applicable regulations.
2.2. Subscription Management
We use Superwall and the native platforms (Apple App Store and Google Play Store) to manage "Pro" subscriptions. We do not have access to or store your payment data.
3. Data Retention
- Images: We do not retain your images. They are sent to the third-party AI provider and discarded immediately after the analysis process.
- Results: Analysis results (text, metrics) may be saved locally on your device or account.
- Account Data: Retained while your account remains active.
4. Device Permissions
The app will request access to:
- Camera: To capture photos.
- Photo Library: To upload existing photos.
You can revoke these permissions in your phone settings.
5. Your Rights and Account Deletion
You have the right to access, modify, and delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings > Delete Account, or by contacting us.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. We will notify you of any relevant changes.
